HOW ICKC TITLES ARE EARNED

INTERNATIONAL CANINE KENNEL CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS

THERE DOES NOT HAVE TO BE DOGS IN YOUR BREED TO EARN POINTS.  POINTS ARE EARNED IN BREED, GROUP AND BEST IN SHOW.


Titles are mailed out free of charge to Preferred Dogs 

Preferred Dog is a one time fee of $50.00 per dog showing.

PUPPY CHAMPION:  Between 2 to 6 months of age. 4 Puppy Best in Show earned   (must beat at least one dog per show to qualify) or 5 points with 1 major.

JUNIOR CHAMPION: Between 6 to 12 months of age. 10 points, 1 major of 3 points or more, maximum 5 points per show. Points will be retained towards the adult championship; an additional 3 point major must be earned after 12 months of age to finish out the 15 points for the adult championships. Maximum 5 points per show

JUNIOR GRAND CHAMPION: Will be awarded to dog or bitch between the ages of 6-12 months of age for earning two majors after the dog or bitch has earned their Jr. Champion title.  Maximum 1 major per show

JUNIOR SUPREME GRAND CHAMPION: Will be awarded to dog or bitch between the ages of 6-12 months of age for earning two majors after the dog or bitch has earned their Jr. Grand Champion title. Maximum 1 major per show

JUNIOR MASTER SUPREME CHAMPION:  Will be awarded to dog or bitch between the ages of 6-12 months of age for earning two majors after the dog or bitch has earned their Jr. Supreme Grand Champion title.  Maximum 1 major per show

JUNIOR HALL OF FAME:  Will be awarded to dog or bitch between the ages of 6-12 months of age for earning two majors after the dog or bitch has earned their Jr. Supreme Grand Champion title.  Maximum 1 major per show


INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION: over 12 months of age; 15 points with 2 majors of 3 or more points.  Maximum 5 points per show.

GRAND CHAMPION: which will be awarded to ICKC CHAMPION dog or bitch shown in BEST OF BREED CLASS that has defeated 15 other ICKC CHAMPIONS.  Maximum 5 points per show


SUPREME GRAND CHAMPION: which will be awarded to ICKC GRAND CHAMPION dog or bitch shown in BEST OF BREED CLASS that has defeated 15 other ICKC GRAND CHAMPIONS. Maximum 5 points per show


MASTER SUPREME CHAMPION: which will be awarded to ICKC SUPREME GRAND CHAMPION dog or bitch shown in BEST OF BREED CLASS that has defeated 15 other ICKC SUPREME GRAND CHAMPIONS. Maximum 5 points per show


HALL OF FAME: which will be awarded to ICKC MASTER SUPREME CHAMPION dog or bitch shown in BEST OF BREED CLASS that has defeated 10 other ICKC MASTER SUPREME CHAMPIONS. Maximum 5 points per show

Honored Champions (Altered Dogs & Veteran Dogs (able to show both in regular shows and Honored Show):  Need 4 Honor Best In Shows beating at least 1 Dog or 5 points including a major.


RULES FOR OBTAINING THE JR & INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS:

Breed Ring Conformation Points: One point for each dog defeated up to a maximum of 5 points per show. Points start at Winners Dog/Bitch.  No points are earned in class.

The Winners Dog/Bitch counts all dogs of the same sex defeated directly or indirectly.
The Best of Winners takes the highest number of points awarded to either of the two winners (Winner's Bitch OR Winner's Dog).  The dog awarded Best of Breed counts all dogs defeated of both sexes.  Best Of Opposite earns all points for dogs of same sex beat.  If Best of Breed or Best of Opposite is a Champion it will earn Grand Ch. points towards Grand Ch. for all Champions beat up to 5 Grand points a Show.

BEST IN SHOW Adult SCORES 5 POINTS; RESERVE BEST IN SHOW SCORES Min. 3 POINTS.
BIS Junior Scores 5 points if Minimum of 10 Junior Dogs are Entered In Show RBIS Junior earns 3 Points min. If  10 or more Junior Dogs are Entered in Show
BIS Puppy earns 5 points if Min of 6 puppies are entered in show RBIS Puppy earns min of 4 points if Min of 6 puppies are entered in Show 

A DOG/BITCH MAY EARN NO MORE THAN 5 (FIVE) POINTS IN TOTAL FOR ANY SINGLE SHOW 
(BREED, GROUP & BEST IN SHOW POINTS COMBINED)

All dogs and bitches are judged in accordance with the following FCI groups:

Pinscher and Schnauzer - Molossoid and Swiss Mountain and Cattledogs

Dachshunds
Group 5

Pointing Dogs

Retrievers - Flushing Dogs - Water Dogs

YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO HAVE POINT SHEETS SIGNED BY JUDGES TO ACQUIRE ICKC POINTS.
SHOW RECORDS WILL ENSURE ALL POINTS ARE RECORDED DIRECTLY FROM THE JUDGES BOOKS.
CHAMPIONSHIP CERTIFICATES WILL BE MAILED TO ALL PREFERRED DOGS FREE OF CHARGE. 



Intercontinental Championships: To earn a dog must be rated Excellent or Very Good by judges. Multiple Dogs in each class can be awarded Excellent and earn their title. It can be earned in conjunction with all other ICKC Championships. Rating Cards will be given out to each dog.

Titles can be earned in a weekend of shows to dogs meeting their standard.

Intercontinental Puppy Championship-Dogs under 6 months receiving 5 Excellent or Very Good Ratings
Intercontinental Junior Puppy Championship-Dogs 6-9 months receiving 5 Excellent or Very Good Ratings
Intercontinental Senior Puppy Championship-Dogs 9-12 months receiving 5 Excellent or Very Good Ratings
Intercontinental Championship-Dogs Over 12 months receiving 5 Excellent or Very Good Ratings 
Intercontinental Championship Copper-Dogs that have earned their Intercontinental Championship plus 5 additional VG or Excellent Ratings
Intercontinental Championship Bronze-Dogs that have earned their Intercontinental Championship Copper plus 5 additional VG or Excellent Ratings
Intercontinental Championship Silver-Dogs that have earned their Intercontinental Championship Bronze plus 5 additional VG or Excellent Ratings
Intercontinental Championship Gold-Dogs that have earned their Intercontinental Championship Silver plus 5 additional VG or Excellent Ratings
Intercontinental Championship Platinum-Dogs that have earned their Intercontinental Championship Gold plus 5 additional VG or Excellent Ratings
Intercontinental Championship Diamond-Dogs that have earned their Intercontinental Championship Platinum plus 5 additional VG or Excellent Ratings
